Lusciously sweet Rieslings

This tasting of sweet Rieslings, mainly but by no means exclusively German with Alsace* and Canadian wines too, was part of the first International Riesling Symposium held in the Rheingau last month. Christmas Eve somehow seems a suitable time to wallow in these very special treats from regions that take for granted a heavy blanket of snow at this time of year. Surely 2010 Eiswein will be a piece of cake?
