For this unusual date, an unusual wine. Nick and I are currently at the China Wine Summit in Shanghai. Two years ago, after attending the first one, we travelled many hours inland from Shanghai to the most extraordinary wine country I have ever visited in Yunnan, southern China, to inspect LVMH’s new red-wine operation there. I had heard rumours about its unusual location and was determined to take a look.
