Very, very pale. Water white. Light nose, then pure Riesling flavours. Very, very slightly slack. Basic essence of Mosel.
Wachenheimer Riesling 2002 'Single Village', JL Wolf (Pfalz) 15 Drink 2003-2005
£8.99 Philglas & Swiggot, Great Western Wines
Broad, clear, confident, peppery nose. Brisk. Almost abrasive. Not especially intense.
Forster Riesling 2002 'Single Village', JL Wolf (Pfalz) 16 Drink 2005-2007
£8.99 Hicks & Don
Mineral nose and definite weight, but quite unfurled on the palate. Slightly astringent at the moment. Needs time.
