Fired up by Barolo and Barbaresco, Piemonte has firmly established itself as Italy’s quality powerhouse, and the excellent forthcoming vintages, 2019 for Barolo and 2020 for Barbaresco, merely reinforce this. But the world’s interest in the region has begun to expand beyond Nebbiolo to include some of Piemonte’s other unique, indigenous varieties.
