Peloponnese report – last stop Patras

The final stage on my semi-circular tour of the Peloponnese was the city of Patras in the Achaia prefecture, right up in the north, now joined by a bridge to the mainland of Central Greece. I arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so saw nothing of the city and the vineyards only at a distance, though I did get some fresh air and rays of sun in the citrus-tree-rich garden of the Parparoussis family, complete with peacocks, right on the edge of the busy university city.
