I got an email message just before Peter Gago arrived to unveil this year’s Penfolds Collection of new releases. ‘Apologies. In the spreadsheet I sent you there was a typo. Special Bin 111a RRP is £850 NOT £820.’
That is £850 a bottle, folks, not per dozen, for Penfolds’ new baby, a brand new 2016 South Australian Shiraz with zero track record that was launched yesterday. As Richard observed on Wednesday...
