In time for their big sale today, Christie's hosted a Penfolds Masterclass, featuring special wines from the 1990 vintage with Peter Gago, chief winemaker at Penfolds since 2002, leading the tasting. He provided personal insights into how and why these 1990 wines vary across the range, given their different regions of origin and/or maturation methods.
