My first day back at work after the summer break consisted of a trip to Reims to taste a vertical of Roederer Cristal. It's dirty work but... No, I really do realise how lucky I am to have my job, and that these sorts of experiences are my reward for ploughing through bottle after boring bottle of branded wines from the supermarkets (very occasionally finding a good one – see Fine wine arrives at Tesco).
