The first half of my tasting notes from three action-packed days on the island in May. See also Santorini's other active volcano and Santorini tasting notes part 2. Wines from many of these producers will be included in our Greek Wine Night on 13 October.

I met and tasted with 16 different producers. Here are the first eight, in alphabetical order. The tasting notes are in the order tasted, preceded by a short profile of each producer. The second half follows tomorrow.
