Tim Jackson MW is impressed by the latest release from Tenuta San Guido.
It strikes me that real, true haute couture lifts clothing to a higher plane through finesse. Not for these garments more gold or bigger diamonds, but rather cloth that is finer, lighter and softer; invisible stitching that seems all-but seamless; suits that fit ‘just so’; dresses with an elegance of line that make the wearer look so much better than the reality. There is an illusory effortlessness that betrays the quality, rather than overt bling.
