Stannary Wine's 2023 US finds

Six out of 65 wines marked good value here … especially the Foxglove range of Jim and Bob Varner of Menlo Park (pictured above).
Flint Wines, of which Stannary is the retail arm, has a fine reputation for its burgundies. So, as the price of them has skyrocketed, it is not surprising that the buying team has looked for better-value alternatives. The west coast of the US is as good a place to look as any, although A&B Vintners have pretty much swept the Oregon cupboard bare.
