On Jancis's reliable recommendation, during my visit to Castilla-La Mancha described in this overview, I was able to visit Verum's project.
Bodegas Verum is owned by a family who have been dedicated to wine and brandy since 1788. They are well known for running the Altosa distillery (with some wonderful brandies, by the way), but Verum is a small oasis within it dedicated to making high-quality wines and is quite separate from Altosa.
