I received this report from Schloss Vollrads at the end of last week.

Schloss Vollrads started 2003 harvest with a super-record.

Due to the very warm and dry summer, this year's harvest at Schloss Vollrads has started at the beginning of this week, as early as never before. This is a record in itself, but the most outstanding highlight is that with the support of more than 40 pickers individual raisin-like berries could be harvested which brought a sensational record must weight of 302 (!) degrees Oechsle.
