A new 'low' alcohol wine from Spain

The use of the spinning cone to reduce alcohol in wine by about 1% abv is not uncommon, particularly in California, but it is discussed only behind the winery doors (see How to make wines a little bit weaker). But when it comes to a much more drastic reduction – from say 14% down to 8% – there’s not much point trying to keep it quiet. Why indeed would you want to be coy about one of your product’s key selling points?
