A Spanish bargain for Brits

From today until 20 Jul Campaneo Old Vines Garnacha 2003 is on special offer at Sainsbury's supermarkets in the UK, reduced from £5.99 to £2.99. It comes from the dominant producer in the Campo de Borja DO, Bodegas Aragonesas, in one of Spain's many up-and-coming regions just downriver of the Rioja Baja.
No surprise then that there is some good, juicy Garnacha (Grenache) fruit here, and this smartly-packaged wine apparently comes from vines planted more than 40 years ago, selected from an amazing 3,500 hectares (nearly 10,000 acres!) of vines.
At £2.99 I can recommend it as an excellent buy – just so...
