Back from tasting 2007s

I’m now back home after a week’s immersion in 2007s in Burgundy and then Châteauneuf-du-Pape with hundreds of tasting notes – a very high proportion of them favourable.
Needless to say, the style of the 2007s in Burgundy is completely different from those of the Châteauneufs, with the vintage seeming considerably less consistent in the Côte d’Or than in the southern Rhône. Julia had been to taste in the Côte de Beaune a couple of weeks before so I concentrated on the Côte de Nuits.
