Bordeaux 2005 tasting notes – Pessac-Léognan and Graves

I was very impressed by the number of successful Pessac-Léognans and Graves made in 2005. You’ll find notes on many examples here, not all of them wonderful but very few of them likely to cost a great deal. The following notes are based on two extensive blind tastings, one of the crus classés and the other of the non-classified wines in this appellation, together with some Graves tasted and a non-blind tasting of the full range of quite stunning wines from Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion.
