I know that only yesterday I was berating merchants for touting 2004 burgundies already but news from Bordeaux vineyards this summer has a bearing on the huge market for bordeaux and likely movements in price on the 2004 futures.
It might have suited the Bordeaux trade, which had a difficult 2004 campaign, to have had a disastrous flowering in 2005 so that the crop would be short, helping to firm up prices for the 2004s.
