Britain's biggest independent makes inroads in the US

After news that British influence on wine commentary in the US is to be strengthened (see Robert Parker's signing of Neal Martin) comes news of a similar move in wine distribution.
European wine companies have had several attempts to penetrate the potentially extremely lucrative American wine market recently. Berry Bros of London and Basingstoke have so far been foiled in their prematurely publicised efforts to break into the US via a link with Sotheby’s.
