Burgundy 2012 so far

Gareth Skidmore lives in Burgundy, where he works as a translator and teaches wine-business English to Burgundians.
The weather has remained very poor throughout June, with more storms last Thursday afternoon around Beaune, Nuits-St-George and Dijon, and uncertain weather for the days ahead.
Vine flowering has been a long drawn-out affair through June, but people continue to suggest that the harvest will start around 20 September. Of course, the weather conditions in June have put everyone under great pressure regarding anti-mildew spraying. They are controlling as best they can. We really need some prolonged sunshine now...
