Horses play an increasingly important part in Burgundian viticulture today. I met this one and his minder exiting from the horse box below one morning above Vosne. I asked the man whether the horse was working for a particular vigneron. 'Domaine de la Romanée-Conti', I was told. I should have known from the cross and location.
The wines below are grouped by producer (sur)name in alphabetical order. Each producer's wines are presented whites first, then reds, and then in very rough order from entry level to most glamorous. Please let...
