In 1982 David Hohnen, pictured above more or less then, founder of Margaret River winery Cape Mentelle (and of Cloudy Bay in New Zealand), instituted an annual tradition continued by current owners LVMH. He collected some of the top Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wines of the world, from the same vintage, and served them blind at the winery to an assembled company of wine lovers.
