EN PRIMEUR 2011
Radda in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese. Cask sample. Purplish crimson. Quite pure and fresh and with a leafy note. Very good balance and extract. High drinkability! Great effort for the vintage. (WS)
2010
Castellina in Chianti. 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot, 3% Malvasia, 2% Colorino. Deep crimson. Rich and sweet and with well-integrated oak. Very ripe fruit, it seems, but polished. Succulent palate. And creamy notes take the overhand over the fruit at the moment, but more is to come. (WS)
Castelnuovo Berardenga. 100% Sangiovese. Deep, already quite mature-looking ruby. Sweet, perfumed nose, with the merest hint of eucalyptus. Same rich fruit but contrasted by drying tannin. Needs food. (WS)
2009
Castellina in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese.
Very dark ruby. Rich, generous and slightly overripe nose with a herbal streak, nonetheless. Popular soft fruit palate and slightly tough tannins, but generally should please the masses. (WS)
RISERVA 2009
2008
