It’s been a strange few weeks for neophyte Slovenian vigneron Chris Boiling. And things just seem to be getting stranger and stranger… Our East of Venice assemblage will be published on Thursday.
Standing next to a scary clown in the men’s toilets, I knew this was no ordinary wine fair. Things became weirder while tasting a red wine called Nosferatu (a young Zweigelt from the Hlebec family, who run the guest house, restaurant and winery where we stayed seven years ago while buying our winehouse and vineyard in Slovenia).
