I don’t know how wine was made before hoses. They’re literally everywhere, water hoses coiled up on the wall, glycol hoses hanging from the ceiling, siphon hoses for taking wine out of barrels, and wine hoses that hook up to tanks. They are perpetually in the way when you’re driving the forklift, moving something with a pallet jack, or rolling your pump around. But we’d be doomed without them. Because the job of a cellar rat is really just to move liquid from one place to another, over and over again. Sure...
