LOL, FYI, OMG – in the internet era, three-letter acronyms have become routine forms of communication. The world of wine has plenty of TLAs to call its own: *ABC, DRC, VCC, GPL, and now, ESW.
English sparkling wine could never decide on a generic name anyway (suggestions including Britagne, Britpop, Merret and many others never won widespread support, for better or worse) so ESW will have to do in the meantime.
