Evening Land Vineyards is an exciting and extremely ambitious new project that spans some first class Pinot Noir sites in Oregon and California. The operation, led by former Hollywood producer/director and speech-writer Mark Tarlov, back in 2005 acquired the small but highly prized Occidental vineyard on the Sonoma Coast from Dutton, who used to lease it to Kistler. The 3.5-acre vineyard near Bodega, south and west of such notable producers as Flowers and Marcassin, is at a cool 1,000 feet and therefore frequently above the Pacific fogs.
