Gaja's 2002s in doubt

It is always entertaining and informative to see Angelo Gaja who is, like Piero Antinori, Miguel Torres and the late Gérard Jaboulet, one of the few wine people with a truly international grasp of what is going on.
He was in London yesterday to present some of his current range and I particularly enjoyed his subtle colour combinations of shirt, tie and jacket. Some of the wines weren't bad either.
He did prove that his Gaia & Rey Chardonnay lasts extremely well. Both 2000 and 2001 were looking quite youthful and subtle, even if, like all Gaja wines, they are...
