Having focused on the wines from the VDP Nahe, Mosel and Saar at the Weinbörse tastings earlier in June, I took the opportunity to catch up with the 2011 offerings of growers from Germany's largest region, Rheinhessen, at another VDP presentation at Mainz earlier this month. At the same time I managed to taste the wines of two Nahe producers I had missed at the Weinbörse: Dr Crusius and Gut Hermannsberg.
