One of the people who came to dinner last night just emailed to ask for details of one of the wines we served. As I wrote out the list I thought I'd share it with you as it was a much more eclectic and revealing line-up than I usually choose.
We'd invited people for 8 but some wires must have got crossed because Heston Blumenthal turned up on our doorstep rather breathless at 7.30 apologising for being half an hour late. He very kindly brought us some beautifully natural-looking eggs whose size varies encouragingly. From their back yard, I assume...
