For many lovers of white burgundy the name Louis Carillon will ring a familiar and well-loved bell, but with Louis’ eventual retirement in mind, his two sons François and Jacques Carillon carved up their father’s vine holdings and established their own eponymous domaines.
I have already written here at some length about François’ expanding domaine and his open, easy-to-like wines. François himself is rather like his wines whereas Jacques is quieter and his wines also seem a bit more reticent.
