Majestic's Christmas party drinks bill

A most amusing story on the front page of today’s Off Licence News. Every January the highly successful UK wine warehouse operation Majestic follows up its announcement of record figures with a staff party for 1,000 at Grosvenor House on Park Lane, scene of a thousand awards dinners.

Apparently they have traditionally expected their suppliers to foot the drinks bill for the evening but some of these suppliers have been grumbling to OLN.  They apparently object to this additional payment, a three to four figure sum that is added to the invoice for their annual listing fee.
