New Zealand wine is particular passion of mine. I’ve visited this green, pristine country three times in six years. I’ll reschedule medical and dental appointments to meet with visiting New Zealand winemakers. I think about the “New Zealand click of quality” each time I open a screwcapped bottle of wine, no matter where it’s made.
It’s a sickness, really. When I’m in New Zealand no matter how hard I try to visit Milford Sound, my car steers itself toward the Pinot Noir vines of Central Otago. Hakas take a back seat to Hawkes Bay Syrah. Why bungee...
