If you click on the 'growers' champagne' tag at the top of this article, you will find 21 articles listed back to 2005. But what's interesting today is that there is no longer a marked chasm between the champagnes of growers and houses in Champagne. (There used to be a particularly consumer-friendly gap in price but that is, alas, no longer the case.)
What is notable today, however, is that the distinction is not so much between growers (good) and houses (bad) but between those Champagne producers truly dedicated...
