Old vines, fine wines

Here was an impressive, varied and delicious demonstration of the quality of wines from old vines. Too small a sample to prove a point, but certainly making a very strong point about the intensity, clarity and inherent balance found in many wines made from gnarly old vineyards such as the one shown here (Henschke's Hill of Grace in Australia's Eden Valley).
