Burgundy lovers may remember that, as early as late November in Chambolle in the snow, I identified Sylvain Cathiard as one of the star performers of the 2007 vintage. I tasted there at the end of a long day last December, straight after visiting DRC, and was still inspired by the energy and expressiveness of the fruit here in a cellar he had recently acquired from his late father.
