Taillevent and the taxi driver

Thought you might be amused by a short but very Parisian tale. My route back to London from Burgundy last week most fortunately coincided with a Léoville and Langoa Barton dinner organised by California tasting impresario Bipin Desai at Taillevent on Friday night.
(The Léoville 1948 was the star for me, closely followed by the 1959 and two sumptuous 1989s.)
As soon as I climbed into a (regular) cab from the restaurant the driver began to quiz me about my meal. Had it been good? I explained that it had been a special wine dinner with 22 vintages...
