Guillaume d'Angerville presents his latest babies, and buys more land.
Ex-banker and inheritor of the jewel of Volnay Guillaume d'Angerville does not believe in showing his wines in the hurly-burly of London's Burgundy Week. Instead, in the UK at least, he presents them personally a little later in the year in the company of his two anointed distributors, Corney & Barrow and Justerini & Brooks.
This year's presentation of his 2017s took place a couple of weeks ago and was very nearly scuppered by the douaniers at Paris's Gare du Nord who have been on a go-slow, protesting in advance...
