Ukrainian wine comes west

Against many odds, a cache of terrific Ukrainian wine is now being imported into the UK and US. It's time to get familiar with Telti-Kuruk and other fascinating grape varieties. It took Svitlana Tsybak, CEO of the Ukrainian Wine Company UK, 24 hours to get from Kiev to London, via Poland, to oversee this tasting of wines last year – 24 hours compared with the 3-hour direct flight she used to take.
