Van Rensburg to quit Vergelegen?

04 October 2004: Well what a surprise! van Rensburg seems to have managed to parlay his way into staying at Vergelegen, doubtless at a much more comfortable salary level.
According to a story just posted on the South African website www.grape.co.za, South Africa's most famous, most garlanded and most outspoken winemaker Andre van Rensburg of Anglo-American's flagship winery Vergelegen has been offered a better paid, alternative job at Johann Rupert's L'Ormarins of Franshoek, currently in the throes of a lavish refit.
