A new Riesling clone for US

From Jim Trezise, the Energizer Bunny director of the New York Wine and Grape Foundation, comes word that a new Riesling clone was released last week by Dr Konstantin Frank’s Vinifera Wine Cellars.
Trezise reports that after two years of work with Cornell University, the US Department of Agriculture, and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Dr Frank’s Riesling clone N90, from Germany’s Neustadt Research Station, has been approved in the US and offers higher wine quality potential, enhanced aromatics, increased disease resistance (thanks to looser clusters) and a winter hardiness suited to New York winegrowing regions....
