Just in case you read my rant about red wines that leave my palate feeling scrubbed by sandpaper rather than having attractive tannins, I thought it only fair to be a bit more specific. Here’s a list of examples of wines of this style, to a greater or lesser degree, from those included in my tasting notes on New Wave Spanish Reds last week. This is not however to imply that this is a specifically Spanish problem.
