Allergies and wine

One of the many bees that buzz rather ineffectually around my bonnet is concerned about wine and allergies – or rather people who are allergic to wine. Wine gives me such an inordinate amount of pleasure that I want everyone to have the chance to enjoy it too, and it worries me that such a significant proportion of potential wine drinkers – even those who say they love the taste of wine – find that they experience adverse reactions to either white wine, or red wine, or a more specific sort of wine, or even all wine.
