Barolo 2018 – the tasting notes

Following Walter's report on winemakers' thoughts (as well as his own) on the 2018 vintage in Barolo, here are the tasting notes. He took this view of La Morra while in the Langhe.
The tasting notes below give you a sneak preview of the Barolo 2018s that will be released from 1 January next year. Before the COVID-19 emergency, producers would wait until Vinitaly in Verona in early April, then the largest annual wine fair in the world, before showing them to a larger public.
