Barossa tasting notes – big, bold and sometimes beautiful

As outlined in Barossa Valley – growers turn winemakers in wine news, the Barossa is one of Australia’s most distinctive wine regions. Technically Barossa is made up of the Barossa Valley floor with its range of terroirs from Lyndoch and Rowland Flat (site of the famous Jacobs Creek) in the south, northwards through the towns of Tanunda and ‘Nuri’ (Nuriootpa) with Marananga, Greenock and Ebenezer in the west. The higher, cooler, quieter Eden Valley to the east, east of Angaston, is also part of Barossa administratively.
