The Portuguese cult wine Pêra-Manca may have been the main draw, but Julia finds plenty of other reasons to seek out Cartuxa.
Pêra-Manca is the top wine of Cartuxa, which in turn is the wine division of the Fondação Eugénio de Almeida, a charitable foundation in the Évora region of Portugal’s Alentejo. It took me a little while to untangle this so I hope I have saved you the trouble.
