Chinese wine for foreigners

I was surprised by quite how much interest was generated by my tasting notes on the best Chinese wines to be found in China when I published Chinese wine – tasting notes and some comment last March. The article also stimulated two US-based wine traders to ask why their brands of Chinese wine had been omitted. The answer was that my initial focus had been on wines designed specifically for the domestic market in China itself.
