These notes were taken in March 2008 with Louis-Michel Liger-Belair at his UK importers Justerini & Brooks. For some background to this once-glorious and now energetically revived Vosne-Romanée domaine, see The French Prince of Belair. It was a fascinating display of vintage differences, as you will see. The wines are very precise and expressive.
The 2006 cask samples tasted are listed first, then verticals of the Clos du Château, Monopole 2005 Vosne-Romanée and the precious La Romanée.
