DRC's 2005s – the tasting notes

Over the last couple of days I have had the great pleasure of feasting on Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wines, first at an evening ‘masterclass’ presented by Aubert de Villlaine of DRC at which we compared pairs of Échézeaux and La Tâche from 2005, 2001, 1996 and 1990 (see DRC is BD – official), and the following day at the annual presentation of the most recent vintage, in this case the wines of the glorious 2005 vintage. Co-proprietor Aubert de Villaine showed them in New York last week and in London this.
