Erbaluce – tasting notes

See Erbaluce – grape discovery of the year for Walter's introduction to this variety and its home territory in north-west Italy, as well as a description of the key styles of wine produced there.
These tasgting notes are divided by style – first sparkling, then still and dry, and finally sweet – and alphabetically by producer (sur)name within each category, not including words such as Cantina.
From 2010, the new DOCG Erbaluce di Caluso applies only to still wines, sweet wines and bottle-fermented sparkling wines; tank-fermented sparkling wines may be labelled DOC Canavese.
